🧠 Happy Thursday my fellow email openers. Hope your week has been smooth sailing so far. If it hasn’t been, I hope you get back on course and hit that next destination with ease.

My life in the past few days has been changing drastically, and very rapidly I might add. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of all the different responsibilities I have. However, I was able to compile several great resources to help tackle the complexities of that sort of mindset. The goal is to move towards a more purposeful and positive path, one that leads to having peace of mind especially within the chaotic realm of art, innovation, and our personal lives.

💼 Work experience for your resume. It’s hard enough for artists to find a decent job that doesn’t require 10+ years of Photoshop experience before turning 22-years-old or a Master’s degree in computer science for an unpaid internship. So, here’s a bunch of very legitimate positions you have definitely worked as for many years of your life that you can list on your resume as work experience! Trust me, this totally works!

Okay but on a real note, there’s a company that’s been coming in clutch for creatives all around the world struggling with this sort of thing: SuperHi! SuperHi is a online education platform and community looking to support artists like us find our role in the world. They offer an incredible amount of insight on subjects ranging from coding all the way to user interface design. They also have separate program called SuperHi Plus, which is a brand new business model that combines co-ownership with optimized project funding for all of your creative endeavors.

If it’s a specific career path you’re on the search for, SuperHi’s Instagram account posts a very useful job roundup at the end of every week. The roundup shares a bunch of dope creative positions available at some of your favorite companies with some being completely transparent on their salary range offering and possible remote setting.

Either way, SuperHi has made it increasingly simple for all of us to just get started on everything we know we were put on Earth for, but without feeling lost in the entire process of it.

📈 Boosting clicks. If you’re a YouTube creator looking to scale the growth of your channel, I’ve found the perfect tool for you. One of the first and most important steps to gaining any sort of audience on YouTube is to make a video thumbnail look attractive enough for anyone to click it because yes, people do judge a book by its cover on this website (GUILTY).

A really efficient way to do this is through using Thumblytics. It’s a service that allows you to pin your own thumbnails against other competing thumbnails from other YouTube channels as a test before you upload your videos. That way, you can compare it for yourself and see what’s working in your thumbnail design and what isn’t. Thumblytics also uses data-backed projection models to help you compare your final thumbnails to previous versions of itself. It’s a really cool way to see how you’re growing as a thumbnail designer and overall how you stack up against the somewhat saturated competition.

SONG OF THE DAY

🥶 Cold as ice. British music producer Kelvin Krash released his debut album Harsh just 4 months ago and has already solidified himself as one of the UK’s most unique producers in the game. The 7th track off the album called “SAFETY FIRST” highlights Kelvin Krash’s strengths in bringing a melodic atmosphere hugged in the darkness of hard synths and long reverbs. This definitely seems to take some inspiration from that of Travis Scott’s work, which I’m pretty biased about since he’s considered one of my favorite artists for this very reason. Give this one a listen if you’re in for a beautifully composed piece full of color and futuristic space.
